Meet Your Cancer Care Team

From all of us at The Cancer Care Center, thank you for allowing us to support you during this journey. Our goal is for you to experience the Hospital’s core values of respect, care, joy and competence in every interaction with your treatment team.

Our radiation oncologist and medical oncologist are provided by the Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois.

Renata Moore, MD, Radiation Oncologist

As a radiation oncologist, Dr. Moore is a key decision maker in choosing whether radiation therapy is appropriate for your treatment as well as the type of radiation therapy you might receive. She is the leader of your treatment team and stays with you from initial consultation all the way through follow-up care.

Maria T. Grosse Perdekamp, MD, Medical Oncologist

As a medical oncologist, Dr. Perdekamp helps decide whether chemotherapy is an appropriate treatment course for you. She works in conjunction with the rest of our staff to deliver top-notch chemotherapy treatment in a caring and supportive environment.

Diane Elmer and Dave Porter, Medical Physicists

As medical physicists, Diane and Dave work to ensure that your radiation treatments are safe and effective. They work directly with your physicians to help determine the best radiation therapy technique for you. Diane and Dave oversee the planning process in conjunction with your dosimetrist. They also are responsible for checking the quality of radiation delivered by the equipment and performing audits to assure the treatment is administered by the Radiation Therapists as prescribed by your physician.

Valerie Jordan, R.T.(R)(T), Director of Oncology Services

As the director of oncology services, Val works closely with all members of the medical team to assure that you receive the exceptional care you deserve. She also oversees the relationship with the hospital. Val is also trained as a certified radiation therapist by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.

Carol Gillette, CMD, Dosimetrist

Carol works under the direction of your doctor to make your radiation treatment plan. This includes the number of treatments, amount of radiation to be delivered and the area to be treated. Carol is certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.

Marlin Felts, R.N., Nurse

Marlin is a registered nurse with both a special interest and education in oncology. She is here to help you manage any side effects and to help with any concerns you may have.

Mendi Doyle-Kondritz, R.T. (R)(T) and Keri Reel, R.T. (R)(T), Radiation Therapists

Mendi and Keri are trained and certified in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists. They give your daily radiation therapy treatments and arrange your treatment times.

Vickie Reynolds, Office Coordinator

Vickie is here to coordinate information between your doctors, to set up appointments for you, and to register and greet you when you arrive at the Cancer Care Center.
