Professional Pathology Services

Professional services are provided by the pathologists of K.M.B., S.C. a private medical service corporation. A pathologist is a specially trained physician who is knowledgeable in all areas of laboratory medicine. In addition to examining tissue specimens, the pathologist has many responsibilities within the clinical lab areas to assure that your test results are both accurate and timely. Pathologists are involved in setting up new tests within the laboratory, providing education to patients and doctors about the tests they are having performed, and making recommendations on the most efficient tests to order when looking for certain diseases. Pathologists train for an additional five years after medical school in order to be able to provide these services.
