As you return home with your new bundle of joy, St. Mary’s will continue to provide you with postnatal support.

• If you require specialized nursing care at home for complications from your labor and delivery, St. John’s Home Health Care, located conveniently on the St. Mary’s Hospital campus, will provide the exceptional care you expect from St. Mary’s right in your home.
  
• Breastfeeding support is available from Florence Folami, one of our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBLC). She can be reached by pager 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at 217-464-2536, extension #305.
  
• We offer an infant massage class for mom and baby. During the class, Janet Wade, RN, a certified massage instructor, teaches you special infant massage techniques that foster love, compassion and respect between you and your baby. Infant massage improves your baby’s general well-being, promotes relaxation and helps your baby self-regulate and calm, which reduces crying. Mom and baby come together to the class, providing a special bonding experience. Details are available in our 2010 Childbirth Class brochure.
