Rehabilitation is hard work, but you do not have to go through it alone. Along with medical and therapeutic services that address your physical needs, the ARC also provides an array of support services that meet your emotional and spiritual needs, ensuring you a positive rehab experience.
Spiritual Care As a faith-based health care ministry, St. Mary’s has professionally-trained chaplains available 24 hours per day to offer spiritual and emotional support to you and your family during your stay at the ARC. Our chaplains interact with religious leaders of all faiths to provide seamless support for you and your family. They also provide opportunities for prayer, sacraments and spiritual rituals that you may desire. This spiritual support is in addition to the compassionate care and personal attention that you will receive from your care team.
Recreational Therapy Your rehab team at the ARC plans frequent recreational therapy events like bistro dining where the dining room is transformed to a restaurant-like setting. Special events like these lift your spirits and allow you to enjoy common recreational activities during your stay here.
Behavioral Health Care People who are rehabilitating from traumatic injuries or major medical procedures, like our patients in the ARC, often experience depression, so we integrate behavioral/mental health services into your care plan. Our Behavioral Health team will provide psychosocial assessments, orientations and weekly coping groups to address the behavioral health care needs of our patients. Our discharge planner, social worker Jennifer Corley, is available to provide mental health services and referrals to community resources upon your discharge if needed.
