St. Mary’s Hospital Imaging and Lab Services Center is dedicated to providing a remarkable patient experience. Our imaging center provides high-quality imaging services, but also offers patients comfort and convenience in a friendly setting. The St. Mary’s Hospital Imaging and Lab Services Center houses cutting edge technology to perform procedures such as general radiography, mammography screenings, CT and ultrasound.

Our on-site, experienced, registered and licensed Technologists, use the latest and most advanced technology available to better meet the imaging needs of referring physicians and our patients. All examinations are read by Clinical Radiologists, which is one of the largest Radiology groups in Illinois.

Convenience

We had the patient’s busy schedule in mind when developing pre-procedure testing at St. Mary’s Hospital Imaging Center.

Imaging is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Lab services are available Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Convenient parking is right outside the facility’s front door. No appointment is necessary, and most insurances are accepted for lab and x-ray.

A CT scan is a computer assisted medical imaging technique used for diagnosing conditions that do not always show up on a conventional x-ray. St. Mary’s Hospital Imaging Center’s new CT machine, the Definition, proves its strength and flexibility while keeping patient safety in the forefront.

The Definition scans every beating heart at any heart rate and at the lowest radiation dose possible. It provides one-stop diagnoses in acute care, regardless of condition and heart rate. Our machine expands the clinical applications of CT, shortens the time of procedures, reduces radiation doses and streamlines workflow while providing high-quality images.

The Definition uses 64-slice CT technology, which enables us to scan a patient’s entire body in less than 25 seconds. Using more detectors, this state-of-the-art scan produces remarkable images with incredible speed and patient comfort.

St. Mary’s Hospital Imaging Center houses ultrasound equipment that provides advanced clinical capabilities with superior imaging quality.

Our state-of-the-art machines utilize 3D/4D capabilities, providing real time 3D evaluations of the fetus; allows beam steering and offers an extended field of viewing and gives a global overlook of structures within the abdomen.

St. Mary’s Hospital Imaging Center’s innovative mammography machine, the Inspiration, is designed to provide optimal results without compromising patients comfort. The Inspiration is the next generation of digital mammography.

The installation of the Inspiration is a key differentiator in helping St. Mary’s provide our patients the most comfortable mammography experience while capturing high quality clinical images.

The Inspiration’s unique design and comfort features can help patients feel less intimidated by the exam and could be a driver in helping to encourage them to schedule regular mammograms, critical for early breast cancer detection.

The digital x-ray equipment at the St. Mary’s Hospital Imaging Center allows for sharper, cleaner images that are available for interpretation by a radiologist in the shortest time period possible.

Digital x-ray offers the patient shorter wait times by allowing the technologist to view images within seconds of taking the picture. Digital x-ray units also offer greater manipulation of images which allow less repeat radiation exposure to the patient.
