Fall Prevention and Balance Recovery

Designed for anyone who:

  • Has a fear of falling.
  • Has fallen within the last 12 months.
  • Feels weak and unsteady when moving.
  • Has had a knee, hip or ankle replacement.
  • Has had a concusion and needs to recover before returning to a sport or activity.

Facts about falls:

  • One in three adults age 65 and older fall each year.
  • Falls are the leading cause of injuries for people age 65 and older
  • 20 to 30 percent of people who suffer moderate to severe fall injuries have difficulty living independently and have an increased risk of early death.
  • Balance training has shown beneficial results with a diminished risk of falls.

Program details:

  • The program includes 30-minute sessions for balance training and strengthening exercises.
  • All visits will be conducted by a certified athletic trainer.
Program Fee: $99; Includes eight 30-minute sessions. Cash or checks accepted. Insurance will not be billed.
