HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Welcomes Julie Moore Wolfe to the Leadership Team

We are happy to announce that Julie Moore Wolfe has accepted our offer to serve as executive director of philanthropy, advocacy and community relations at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital.
Her main responsibility will be leading our fundraising efforts through the foundation. She’ll also join the HSHS Central Illinois Division’s advocacy team, working with other local elected officials on various efforts pertaining to our Catholic health system. Moore Wolfe will also assist with community and media relations.
Moore Wolfe is the mayor of Decatur, and she will continue to serve in that capacity as she has since 2015. She comes to St. Mary’s from Decatur Memorial Hospital, where she served as the director of community and government relations. She has been a resident of Decatur for more than 30 years and has many great connections throughout central Illinois. Moore Wolfe will replace Debbie Seitz as the leader of the HSHS St. Mary’s Foundation; Seitz retires on July 31, 2018. Moore Wolfe will officially start at St. Mary’s on July 6, 2018.
Moore Wolfe moved to Decatur in 1986 when she started working at WAND-TV as the main anchor and worked there for more than a decade. She’s also served as the president of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce for seven years.
“We are very excited to have Julie join our team,” said Joan M. Coffman, president and CEO of St. Mary’s. “Her passion, dedication and spirit in partnering together to improve Decatur and provide better healthcare services to the many families that call Decatur home is quite remarkable.”
