HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Gives Newborns a Special Gift this Holiday Season

The holidays are a joyous time of year – especially at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital. During the Christmas season, when a baby is born, “Away in a Manger” plays throughout the hospital. The hospital is welcoming babies born the week of Christmas with a special gift.

Every baby born at St. Mary’s from now until Christmas will go home with a special Santa hat. These Santa hats will keep the hospital’s cutest patients warm and toasty as they venture home in the wintery weather. “We love sending these families home with a little reminder of the season,” says Michelle Oliver, chief nursing officer at St. Mary’s Hospital. “We’ve given similar gifts on other holidays and the families always seem to enjoy it.”

St. Mary’s is privileged to enjoy so many births at our hospital and the opportunity to give back to the families that allow us to take care of them each and every day.
